Prof. Ken Murrell is Professor of Management and Management Information Systems at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. He is a management consultant working both independently and with internationally recognized consulting organizations.
He has extensive international experience in Organizational Development and Management Development in improving organizational effectiveness and has travelled in over 60 countries working with a wide variety of Management Education Centers, the United Nations Development Program, several host governments and a wide variety of global corporations including Motorola, Pfizer and Toyota. After completing a doctorate at George Washington University and a MBA in International Business at American University Ken had internal consulting position as part of the G.D. Searle OD group early in his career. He is now President of his own consulting firm, Empowerment Leadership Systems, which is enough of an organization for him. He has been recently chair of the Organization Development and Change Division of the Academy of Management and is a senior associate of the Taos Institute in his preferred home state of New Mexico.
